A good number of the computers we work on in Kingston Springs have been running the same way for six or seven years, and the owner just wants it to keep working a while longer rather than replace it. That is a fair goal, and often a realistic one. We clean out what is slowing the machine down, fix what is broken, and tell you honestly when it is finally time to consider something new.
We are not going to talk you into a new computer you do not need. If a tune-up buys you another two years, we will say so.
Older homes, spotty internet
Because Kingston Springs sits along the river with a mix of older homes and wooded lots, we run into plenty of houses where the internet service itself is limited, and the router that came with it is doing its best with a weak signal. We can usually improve what you have with a better router placement or a mesh system, even if we cannot fix the internet service itself.
