Connecting it correctly the first time
Most soundbar problems trace back to one thing: it is not using the HDMI ARC or eARC port on the TV, or the TV is not set to send sound out that way. We find the right port, run the cable properly, and turn on the setting in your TV's menu that most people never knew existed.
If your TV does not have an ARC port, we use the audio cable that will actually work with your setup and get the same result: sound from one place, controlled by one remote.
- Soundbar connected through HDMI ARC or eARC when your TV supports it
- TV audio setting switched over so the built-in speakers stop competing
- Subwoofer and rear speakers paired and placed where they sound best
- Bluetooth connected as well, if you want to play music from your phone
Making the sound itself right
Once it is connected, we adjust the actual sound: volume levels between the soundbar and subwoofer, a dialogue or voice boost setting if conversations are hard to follow, and the sound mode that fits how you watch, movies, news, or music.
We test it with something you actually watch, not a demo clip, and adjust based on what you tell us sounds right or wrong.
- Dialogue that is easy to hear without turning the volume way up
- Bass that adds to the show instead of rattling the room
- Volume levels balanced between the soundbar and any subwoofer
- A sound mode picked for how you actually watch TV
One remote instead of three
A lot of home theater frustration is really remote frustration: one remote for the TV, one for the soundbar, one for the cable box or streaming device. Where your equipment allows it, we program HDMI-CEC or a universal remote so a single remote turns everything on, adjusts volume, and switches inputs.
We write down which remote does what and walk through it with you before we leave, so you are not guessing the next time you sit down to watch something.
How a visit works
